Jack Fox
Rapper │ Drummer │ Comedian
aka ya boy, aka Mr aka. Jack Fox is the North East’s very own triple threat. Mixing music with comedy, Jack’s clever lyricism is what has earned him a spot as one of the most respected rappers in the unsigned music scene.
First, Hivemind: heavy, sharp, atmospheric — Jack’s drumming is what welds all that noise into precise, purposeful impact. He can take an already snarling riff and make it feel like it’s about to break through the walls. In rehearsals he’s meticulous, tightening grooves until they snap; onstage he’s instinctive, throwing himself into every fill as if trying to shake the ceiling loose. Hivemind’s live shows carry a sweaty, cathartic, “we might combust but it’ll be great” energy, and Jack’s drums are the engine that keeps it roaring.
Then there’s Red Hot Chilipinos, where Jack shows a different side: swaggering, loose, joyfully chaotic. He channels Chad Smith with both reverence and playful confidence. The tribute sets are fast, funky, and full of personality, and Jack thrives there — locking into iconic grooves, nudging tempo to keep the crowd buzzing, and adding his own flavor without losing the spirit of the originals. It’s slap‑bass madness, sweaty singalongs, and big, playful energy, and Jack fits right in, as if born with sticks in his hands.
Between Hivemind’s alt‑rock intensity and the Chilipinos’ funk‑rock mayhem, Jack lives two musical lives that somehow make perfect sense together.
